Dr.Bronner’s Peppermint Castile Soap

by glamazini on January 1, 2003 in Shampoos

This is officially my only shampoo now! I bought this little bottle to test it out and I’m using this stuff for my hair, to bathe with…just every thing. My hair is clean AND soft…not dried out. It tingles because of the peppermint…great stuff!!!

Price: $2.12 for 8 oz.
Purchased: New Leaf Markets (health food store)
Usage: I mixed this with conditioner and washed. First I rinse my hair and scalp under the water very well. Once that’s done, I separate my hair and add the soap washing the scalp primarily with the pads of my fingers. I rinse very well by sectioning my hair and making sure my scalp is clean.

I’ve bought a bigger bottle of this stuff. I’m still using it on everything, face and hair and body. Great great stuff!

This is still what me and hubby use to wash our hair, diluting it 50/50 with water or 66/34 (less soap)

Price: $6 for 16oz.
Purchased: New Leaf Markets (health food store)
Usage: Same as above. Usually diluted 1/2 water 1/2 soap in smaller bottle.

This is good stuff. My favourite is the Hemp Castile Soap! Have you ever tried infusing them Ini, with herbs like rosemary, sage etc.? It’s pretty cool.. I just add a few herbs, making sure the herbs are completely covered, and let it sit for a week or so.

I use Dr. Bonners peppermint soap as a body wash and LOVE the tingle!! I only use a few drops at a time, but really that’s all I need. It never crossed my mine to use it as a shampoo. I may try this today because I battle with a flakey scalp and the Bonner’s tingle agent just may help..

I get such build up that I can’t seem to rinse out when I use this as a shampoo. Maybe I need to dilute it… Have you ever experience this or am I crazy?

I just bought this soap to use on my transitioning flat to fluffy hair. I was a little skeptical about using it because of the title… “Dr. Bronner’s MAGIC Soap”… and I was wondering, Have you ever wondered why “magic” is in the title? I don’t know, maybe I’m being a bit paranoid but… I just wanted to know what you thought being that you are a fellow Christian. Okay? Cool blog, lovely posts, awesome content. Keep up the good work!
