Glamazini #204: Book Review & Give Away: Re-Rambled by Angelia Vernon Menchan *CLOSED*

by glamazini on July 22, 2010 in Books,Give Aways

I’m back with another book review.

Angelia Vernon Menchan considers writing to be the elixir of her soul. Since learning penmanship at age four, most days have found her jotting down thoughts in a notebook. After decades of journal-keeping she decided to try her hand at writing and publishing books, from which was born her small publishing company, M.A.m.m. Productions through which she publishes her own books that she has coined, ‘Fictionalized Truths, Ageless Fiction and Ramblings.’

When not writing, Angelia is a wife, mother, mentor and nana who loves reading almost as much as writing. Angelia is also an Avid Blogger and posts blogs most days to her blog, RAMBLINGS at http://acvermen.blogspot.com or for Skirt Magazine at http://skirt.com/angel08.

I love this unique style of reviewing a book. Re-Rambled should be required reading. I keep it near my desk for when I need a word to get me back on track.

I love this woman….I love listening to her wisdom!!!! As I get older I’ve learned to pick my battles. Not every situation requires me to go off.

Love it, Love it. I find a few things in it for myself. And since I am out at 7:30 until 7:30 simple recipes are my thing. Did she ever say she was a teacher? Angelia is all that and more. There are few book I re-read, this is one of them.

Life Lession: Stop complaining and gossiping. The two seem to go hand in hand. When you stop complaining you’re able to focus on and right the issues that are wrong in your life. So the next time an issue arises you’re able to take care of it instead of complaining, which brings about no resolution. When you participate in gossip you’re blocking your blessings and opportunities and we know how few and precious those are.

I definitely want to read the Re-rambled books. I love REAL advice. The reviewer was fantabulous! She really made you want to get the book. She has great presence and would be a great talk show host. That one tidbit she read was so THE TRUTH, I was immediately sold. Great job, Angelia!

Life Lesson… No man makes you whole, only God. I had to lose what I thought was the love of my life, my hubby of 13 yrs and my girls dad to find out that he was not what completed me. I am whole now and complete in God. girl, a life lesson and a testimony….I feel like dancing. Love You Roshini.

my life lesson
the facts do not determine the TRUTH. this is quoting my bishop but basically if means don’t let the circumstances dampen your faith. God is still God and we know the ending of the story.

-Life Lesson/Observation

“If it’s under His (God) feet, it’s under mine too.
If God isn’t worrying about it, then you shouldn’t too. Don’t worry about what happened in the past, because God has taken care of it.

Another life lesson:
“Your destiny/future is not predicated on the decision of someone else” – T.D. Jakes
Basically he (T.D. Jakes) broke it down to stop wrestling with other people,God is going to bless you on how you see yourself.
That helped me so much because I tend to take to heart the negative things, but that quote helped me reevaluate my thinking.

I just heard about this book on Twitter. I loved your vblog and I while I’m a romance reader, I thinking I need this book on my To Be Read list.

The life lesson that I have learned is: Never ever depend on anyone to take care of you physically, financially or emotionally but God.
Friends, lovers, and family can and sometimes will turn their back on you and instead of throwing a pity party, turn it over to him.

I would love to read this book!

Life Lesson:

I learned this life lesson about men, from my Dad, when I was having relationship troubles. He said to me “Honey, a man will love you from his heart, despite your shortfalls, but you will know it’s unconditional when he shows that love in the midst of his pitfalls.” – My daddy!

He’s so profund!, Don’tcha think?<
