O M.G!
This weekend took it out of me and I'm EXHAUSTED* BUT I must report back that the 1st ever Show Me The Blog St. Louis Social Media Conference was a RIP ROARING SUCCESS!!!
The turn out was incredible and the information sharing and networking were beyond expectations. I'm so proud of my girl Danyelle over at TheCubicleChick.com for pulling this off so amazingly the first time out the gate.
Amazing job hun *weep*
I got great feedback on my presentation as well and honestly, once I stood up and started talking all nerves vanished HA!
. I was live tweeting all day Saturday so feel free to follow me on twitter @glamazini, and read my tweets from October 23rd -or- follow the hashtags #SMBSTL and #showmeblog and do the same.
I met SO many great social media users (and novices) in the St. Louis area (and a few from out of town)! I had a blast fluttering around the room talking to people, handing out my new business cards (that I cranked out with blood sweat and tears on my home printer
)and generally learning SO much about social media in general.
My take away: I MUST get me a sponsor (and a kid, mommy bloggers are doing it BIG!
)
I'll have a video up by the end of this week (I promise) so be sure to check back. Until then check out the links below:

HUGE SHOUT OUT to Julie at His Gem an incredibly sweet woman (and fabulously dressed ya'll) who's company makes Christian infant items!! She was talking to me after the conference and gave me a cute onsey (sp?) for my newest family member (which I gave her mom yesterday and she LOVED!!). Thank you Julie
. Follow her on twitter @hisgemgifts and visit her at HisGem.net
Thanks for visiting!

*I also had to dance yesterday, then a birthday celebration after that…trust me, I was no more good last night

Great post. As for that “I must get me a kid, all the mommy bloggers are doing it” – DON’T FALL FOR IT!! IT’S A TRAP! Oh, sure, they lure you in with their cuteness and little innocent defenselessness but that doesn’t last and then you’re stuck for 18 or more years with a mostly-surly money-sucking parasite!
Oh, sorry – did my bitterness leak through?
(I’m totally kidding – you and your husband would have the cutest kids ever. You should have 6!! Mostly so that I don’t feel like such a freak for having 5. LOL)
Great to meet you!!

OMG you have FIVE kids!? O_o *faint* …don’t worry though, we were just planning on renting a kid so it’s all good LOL! Btw, I tried to go read your SMTB post but phuket, my work firewall says you’re “Adult” and you’re blocked *tsk*tsk*bad*Linda*. I’ll head over there from home later. It was great meeting you, I’ll definitely visit your blog often!
Wow! That’s great the conference went well! You sound like me, I love to talk and I do not get nervous talking in front of crowds of people!
Just finding your blog and like your sense of humour. I’m with @Linda though, don’t fall for the trap! I’ve got two that feel like 5
What are you looking for in your blog sponsor? I’m sure that once you have some basic criteria laid out, it’ll be easier to move forward.

Yes, the conference went really well and now I’m not as nervous about sharing on the YouTube topic

LOL on the trap of kiddies HA! Concerning a sponsor, I would love to have a company or business finance some portion of my online efforts in exchange for an agreed upon level of advertising. My most current effort is I’m a panelist at http://www.lavishxperience.com/ in December and am looking for sponsors to help me with my room and travel expenses. In exchange I would provide exposure on my blog, YouTube channel, twitter and Facebook accounts when covering that event.
