This is what happens when you see your first movie in 3D (Smurfs) and don’t want to take off the glasses.
And this is what happens when you wash your hair, put it into 7 giant cornrow braids going straight down vertically while still damp, sit under the dryer until it’s practically dry, then snap a picture with your husband while wearing 3D movie glasses. You know, a typical night at our house.

Come to think of it, why do I have this EXACT same picture of us through the years. Each year his “you are crazy” face gets worse I think. Check it out: 2003 & 2008 … different years, same picture LOL! Haters never win!
Anyhoo… the next day this braidout was a big fat fail. The front was beautiful, the back/ends not so much. I salvaged it {like I do} with prayer and a large Goody flex barrette.

Not bad huh? I’m not sure why the ends went all willy mc’nilly on me this time. I did the exact same thing I did with this braidout last year that turned out perfectly. Natural hair can be so unpredictable sometimes. Be encouraged, you are not the only one. I plan getting my usual “end of the year pro-trim” and trying my hand at ribbon braidouts soon so stay tuned to learn more.

Either way, I still felt cute!

Check me out in my skirt as a dress ala WhoIsSugar on YouTube! That skirt is as old as dirt, but I love it. I found a cotton band from a different dress, made it a belt, and badabing badaboom old-becomes-new glamour! *drops mic*

I want my hair to be that long (it’s growing well though).
That’s interesting that the ends turned out that way. I get that too and thought it was just me untwisting too much!
So now I know it’s not just me
Yes indeedy, you still rocked this though! And you and the hubby are too cute!

Girl this long hair comes with some challenges of it’s own so enjoy your length while you have it. I’m certain there’s some magic pH or something or the other reason why the ends went haywire but I can’t identify it as yet. All I know is sometimes my ends are perfect, other times they’re bushy like this. I’ll figure it out one day.
