Nordstrom & TJ Maxx • 2 Openings, 1 Weekend

I‘ve been so busy all day re-configuring categories, that I almost forgot to do this post!

This weekend two of my favorite retail stores will be opening new locations right here in the St. Louis metropolitan area.  Needless to say I am PUMPED and had to share the joy!

First up, opening tomorrow, Friday September 23rd, at 10AM is the brand spankly new Nordstrom located at the St. Louis Galleria Mall at the corner of highway 64/40 and Brentwood Blvd.

If you’re interested in some “beauty tailgating” prior to the official opening, they are having a Pre-Opening Beauty Bash from 8-10AM tomorrow with beauty experts on-site, demonstraions, gifts and much more. Next up, opening on Sunday September 25th, at 8AM is the new TJ Maxx located at The Shoppes at Hawk Ridge, 6280 Ronald Reagan Drive in Lake St. Louis.  I practically live in the St. Peters location, so this new spot nearer to my home makes the Maxxinista in me sing a song of joy to the west county mountaintops!

This new store will have the usual TJ Maxx selection that you’ve grown to love, and I hear it has an expanded beauty department!  Who’s excited?! *glamazini is*

I’m not sure I’ll make it to either opening because I’m (literally) heads-down working on blog move related things back here, BUT if I do (or when I eventually make it to both locations because I know I will) I’ll be sure to let you know how it went.

This Sunday hubby and I finally made our way to both stores.  I didn’t shop {hubby did a bit} but I took a while to peruse and am very excited.

and here’s the TJ Maxx.

I was way less excited about the TJ Maxx than I expected to be.  It may need to grow on me, but at first glance I prefer the location in Mid Rivers.  I did love the select of luggage at this location though. As an avid traveler I was excited to see the Timberland, Samsonite and Kipling selections!
