After returning from Black Social Media Weekend I kept the versatile style going and rocked the twistout for another week. To be fully honest, I didn’t plan to, but life got super duper busy and it had to be that way. I took the photo on the left above in my doctor’s office right after learning that the MRI on my knee showed that I had a “degenerative meniscus” and being told I should get tested for arthritis (which I ultimately did and the results came back negative Thank God!). As you can tell by the screw face look I was NOT feeling this diagnosis nor was I loving the idea of getting tested for, and possibly having, flippin arthritis.
The next 2 photos were taken outside the hospital and I still was pretty funky (notice the lack of typical Glamazini joy on my face). I was just not that into it … as in over it … as in sick of being sick … as in sick of being in pain … as in over. it. The doctor gave me a prescription for more physical therapy (my 3rd round) and I tossed it to the side HMPH! I just went for my 1st visit on September 9th, shy of 2 months of him writing the Rx. Not. into. it.
