If you’re a frequent reader, by now you may have heard me mention my exfoliating scalp sugar scrub {ex. here and here}. I decided to do a video series documenting my current hair routine, and this is the first video specifically dedicated tohow I make and do my scalp sugar scrub in 2011.
You will need:
- A way to part your hair {I use a rat tailed comb}
- Clips to hold your hair in sections
- Olive Oil
- Honey {optional}
- White sugar
- Brown sugar
- Castile soap
- Tea Tree oil {optional}
- A container to mix the scrub in & a spoon to mix with
- A damp wash cloth
- A scalp
I hope to document the rest of my routine so stay tuned!
Until next time Glam Fam I wish you

Hi Roshini,
Where did you get that tablespoon measure? It is too cute. Can’t wait for the next routine videos!
Those were favors at our wedding
Ok this is about your advice video but I cannot figure out where to comment so anyhoo…
I guess it depends on the situation. Sometimes if I am in the mood to share what I know I will. However if it seems like it will be a never ending conversation, then I let it go…unless it is life or death..like if you are doing CPR wrong or something.
You never know, you may see her again in the lunch line and the situation may present itself again to share your expertise. You can then just tell her something short about “hey if you are still interested in natural hair, I have a blog if you want to check it out.” Just play it off as something light and fun and she “shouldn’t” be offended that you offered a suggestion.
Toodles!
LOL, here’s the post: http://www.glamazini.com/2011/09/free-therapy-doing-the-least.html
Thanks for commenting
I don’t see the need to say anything..clearly the girl should be able to tell that ur natural (provided your hair was out) even if she doesn’t know about your blog and would have asked if she was still interested.
btw..what do you think you get out of the sugar scrub/
Sugar Scrub: I make skin quickly {if that makes sense}. All over my body, skin just comes back on me so I tend to have to be SUPER diligent in cleaning my scalp. Basically it removed dead skin cells and build up on my scalp and it’s WONDERFUL {especially at the crown of my scalp where the “skin” issue has always been the worst}. Also it feels great and I’ve heard scalp manipulation and massage is great to promote circulation and growth.
seems like it feels great just from looking..Imagine if you added peppermint to it!
I think this blog is great btw..been natural for 8 years and I just discovered it this weekend!
Its def a lot more helpful than a lot of the other sites out there for a lot of reasons!
Thanks! I think the next time I do it I’m adding tea tree oil
This looks like fun. Do you wash it out with just shampoo afterwards? Thanks
Yes, I wash afterward.
I had made a couple of site seeing this morning trying to see an effective treatment for my flaky scalp and then I had found your site and read about your post. You greatly had the idea and it totally make sense, in fact I was even thinking on giving it a try.
