I Got Xtreme Lashes® Eyelash Extensions!

by glamazini on October 28, 2011 in Beauty & Style

About a month ago, I published a list here on this little ole blog of 40 things I’d love to do before I hit age 40. Click HERE if you missed it & #dontJudgeMe for #16 HOLLA!

On that post, Judy of Xtreme Lashes  commented saying

“Let me know if you would like a complimentary set of Xtreme Lashes Eyelash Extensions. Look forward to hearing back from you.”

Ma’am?

Uh …

… after acting a mild fool in the comment section, I took my giddyness to email, contacted Judy, and she put me in touch with one of their best lash stylists in the St. Louis area,  Autumn of StLMakeup.com.  I made my appointment to get a full set of lash extensions immediately after my Mexico trip, and thought I’d share with ya’ll.

Xtreme Lashes® Eyelash Extensions is a revolutionary product that will provide you with longer, thicker, luscious and natural looking eyelashes. Xtreme Lashes® Eyelash Extensions are not traditional false eyelashes. They are single synthetic strands of eyelashes applied ONE by ONE directly to your individual eyelashes by a certified Xtreme Lashes® Eyelash Extensions Stylist for a NATURAL look and feel. With routine touchups every 2 to 4 weeks, you can have amazing eyelashes indefinitely.

Here are my natural lashes before the session:

Here’s Autumn, ready to get started!  YAY! I had such a blast chit chatting with her the entire time. She’s really cool!

The lash extensions (pictured below) are applied one by one.  The purple stuff is the lash adhesive used to adhere the extensions to my individual lashes.

First Autumn applied the hydrating under eye gel patches, then she made a “framework” with about 10 lashes on each eye to use as a guide.  Did you know that when a stylist does a full set of Xtreme Lashes® Eyelash Extensions they could be doing up to 80-90 individual extensions PER EYE! #wow

BAM!  Through the magic of television the internet, here are the final results a little under 2 hours later!  Big difference huh?

Here’s a before and after of my left eye. OOOOW!

Talk about think, long, curvy and luscious!  I felt like “batting my eyes, like this” ala Sebatian in The Little Mermaid“. HA!

Here’s a video I shot the day after I got them done. I plan on shooting “after 1 week”, “after 2 weeks” and “after 3 weeks” videos as well so stay tuned.

I’ve already made my appointment for a fill at the 3 week mark so I’ll share that with you guys also. I’m so pleased with these extensions and giddy for the opportunity to get to rock them and seriously bump up my glam factor!

Not sure I can do last extensions. Hell, I don’t even apply eyelashes and I barely wear mascara. I will have to continue to read your updates to see if this is a viable option for me. As someone who has seen you in person, your lashes look fab!

I totally thought of you when I got these because I know you are “challenged” in the false lash department LOL! This would definitely give you that KAPOW! factor … my vavavoom has been raised to a higher level. :)

I am so grateful that I have a friend as crazy as you. And this might just fit in with my new list of 101 things in 1001 days. I’d actually drive down to the Lou to get these done. ESPECIALLY since I look naked in the eyelash area. These look FABULOUS girafini!

1. I am not crazy. 2. Whether I’m actually your “friend” is questionable :slap: 3. You should come down and get some. You can stay here (maybe :kick: ) 4. Thank you :)

No clue but I may be near the end of them. Tomorrow is a refill … not sure if I’m gonna keep them after that.

I’ve been thinking about it because I wear contacts and I think they would be perfect for them. Seeing yours up close, I want some :)

I’m scared. The extensions people are getting out here look too draggy for me!

Hey ladies!! Aisha, try one of the Aveda spas up there. My BFF had exensions done by them for her 30th bday (long long long time ago) and they were beautiful!!!
P.S. My BFF and I are the same age so it’s okay that I called her ancient :-)

Color me impressed, they look so natural. In my city, lash extension are popular and very badly done. I will try these for a function I’m attending in a few weeks. Thanks for taking one for Team Glam!
