Recent Large-Size Shoe Purchases

by glamazini on November 30, 2011 in Beauty & Style

Chellur lovely people

As you may or may not know, I have large feet and need to buy even larger shoes to fit my orthodic comfortably. Due to that, and a 2-year stint dealing with tendonitis (watch this video and read this post), 99.99% of the shoes I purchase are size 12-13 and flat. Recently I picked up 2 pairs of boots and one pair of (happy) sneakers form Zappos.com and Payless.com.

1st up is my long looked for brown boot.  Last year I spent the entire fall and winter seasons vetting brown boots to no avail. I returned every pair I purchased (except my Dansko Wade) and vowed to find a pair I loved this season.  It took no time at all this year … literally, the 1st pair I saw and purchased were perfect!

I present to you Amelie by Culture Phit in Chocolate Burnished size 44 (US WOMEN’S 12).  I grabbed these from Zappos.com for $149.00 with free shipping and they arrived in under 24hours!

I absolutely love these boots! They fit me like they were made on my feet and calves (and I have large calves) and the toe box is super roomy. I must admit, they are a bit “quicky” looking and I think that’s part of why I like them. Hubby saw them and said “those are nice” so BAM! it’s a win win!  Unfortunately Zappos does not seem to carry this boot at all any more BUT they are on 6pm.com for $89.40 in sizes 36-43 if that works for anyone!

Next I went to my favorite, Payless.com, and grabbed a couple styles.  1st a pair of boots, Tall Slouch Boot by Riley in gray size 13.  I don’t recall how much I paid for them, but a few days ago they were on sale for $19.99 and they are now on sale online for $29.99.

I haven’t worn them yet and honestly haven’t decided it I’m gonna keep them.  They aren’t as easy to get on as I’d like and they fall flat in the style department for me.  We’ll see.

The last pair I purchased are some sneakers I can’t stop wearing.  I’ve deemed them my “happy shoes” and children near and far sheik with sheer joy when they see them.

Ladies and gentlemen, Kicks Lo Glitter Shine by Airwalk

Happy. Flippin. Shoes.

I wore them to the hospital when my sister-in-law had her baby (both days) and was in love as 1st step. I’ve worn them everywhere since (except work … I really really wanna wear them to work). the only thing that could make these shiny shoes any more perfect is if I also owned them in pink and purple. *swoon* #Jesusbe

That’s it for my recent shoe purchases. Hope you enjoyed.

Until next time Glam Fam I wish you

I like the grey boots! I say keep them. It’s always nice to have something different to pop out every once in awhile. This morning I heard about barefoottess, a site for larger shoe sizes for women…it’s a pretty impressive site.

Unfortunately I’ve decided to return them because I’m not fond of how the “slip on” if that makes sense. I know of barefoottess but have never ordered. If you do try the code ‘steve’ for a discount.

I love those glittery air walks! I dig the d=boots too, I’m totally in need of a good pair of winter booties, with either a low or no heel!
