We are taught to avoid suffering.
Life is a spiral of good and bad, hurt and triumph, sorrow and joy. Most of us try to experience as little torment as possible as we travel through our days and I can’t say I was any different that the masses; hoping … dare I say expecting life to be kind to me on my way. As the years go by I find that life seems to have a different plan: to tousle me about just as much as it darn well pleases and see if I care enough to choose to remain upright … because ultimately it is a choice. I’m also learning on this bumpy ride I’ve been taking to be thankful for the pain because the pain my dears is an important is part of the process. So today I am thankful for the pain, because without it how would I recognize the joy, how would I experience growth and how would I know to look up?
Are you thankful for the pain? Let me know in the comments below.
See you tomorrow.
