Listen, yesterday kinda took me out but I’m back up and moving. I’ve been feeling kinda “draggy” lately … not sure if my body is trying to fight something off or what, so forgive me for doubling up once more.
With caveats out of the way … I am thankful for
sleep … glorious sleep!
I love sleeping and have never had a problem doing so. Actually quite the opposite, I have a problem waking up! LOL … no seriously. When I was pregnant everyone kept telling me I would get no sleep, but that did not happen. I switched from sleeping on my belly to sleeping on my side early in the pregnancy to prepare for when I physically could not, gradually built a pillow fortress and basically slept fine except for one middle of the night trip to the potty because Flickerbug insisted on headbutting my bladder. :-/ Since then my son has proven to be a godsend in the sleep department and allowed me to sleep late most mornings … so I do. I spoke with someone who needs to take sleeping pills to get some rest and I can’t imagine!
I’m also so very thankful for
I love my hair, it’s one of my favorite playgrounds. It’s big, thick, fluffy, irreverent, coily, wirey, nappy and has a mind of its own. When I fight it , my hair wins every time. Over a decade ago I decided to wear it in its natural state and that one decision changed the trajectory of my life in such a huge way and for the good. Who would’ve thought it?
Are you a sound sleeper? What do you love about your hair? Let me know in the comments below.
See you tomorrow.
