OUR WEDDING DAY!!!!!
So that morning Adima and I broke tradition by seeing each other before the wedding. The first time was to change my gauze (I’d had surgery w/ complications on Oct 4th and was still healing), the 2nd is below when we ate breakfast together.
And yes, I was downstairs w/ my head wrapped and my rollers in
After breakfast I headed up to my parents room where my mommy put my hair in a high bun. She has done my hair for my debutante ball, my prom, every pageant I’ve ever been in, and now my wedding
We’d rented vans to drive all the guests over the the cruise ship dock. We had priority check in so we were on the ship before anyone else. Here we are in terminal w/ 1 of my wedding planners.
Once on the ship Adima and I went our separate ways. I head to our cabin to get ready and he head to a restroom on the ship with his brother/best man and my sister-in-law’s boyfriend.
The bestman fixing his cravat.
Our hostesses: L-to-R, my bestfriend, my favorite cousin, my cousin, and my sister-in-law.
Our wedding was held in the Metropolis Theater on Royal Caribbean’s cruise ship, Navigator of the Seas. We were the 1st people ever be married in a theater on a ship that we know of. At first they refused, but we begged and prayed and gave it over to the Lord…and He worked it out!

and the staircase outside the theater w/ mister man making his appearance. He mingled then head inside.
Here I come w/ my mommy from the room.
Mommy was my matron of honor. I made my own bouquet (silk) and gave mommy the real one given to us by the ship folks.
Here she’s fixing my blusher.
I did my own make up and was so proud of me…I worked it ooooouuuuuuttttttt!!!!

And down the aisle we go (with my cousin in the back on his picture phone )
We had 60+ guest in all in that HUGE theater

We were so blessed, our pastor & wife traveled to Florida to do the ceremony. Also my childhood pastor and wife were there too. Blessed I tell ya.
We had no “bridal party”, just a bestman, matron of honor, and us
