Do you know what today is… IT’S OUR ANNIVERSARY!!!
Strange picture to start off with huh?
Even though I had no problems clearing out (detangling) my hair I lost a lot of hair this time. I took a picture so you could see (the razor is for size reference). I attribute the large hair ball to:
1) Wearing braids for a week
2) Wearing twists for an additional week
3) The detangling disaster I had about 3 or so weeks ago, I think my hair is just recovering
4) Major stressing this week…major *sigh*
I checked several of the hairs to see if they were from breakage or shedding. I saw a root ball on all the ones I checked.
I forgot to mention that I put my hair in 4 when I deep conditioned overnight and I’ve left it in 4 to clear it out, rinse it out and to leave the house. As my hair gets longer separating it like this makes it 8000% easier to work with.
Btw, I just purchased a shower filter from Home Depot. The brand is Paragon and it cost $20. My hair and skin are markedly softer and there is no white film on me when I get out the shower. Great investment .
I got dressed, slapped a tam over this and walked out the house.
When I arrived Delushious, always the Good Samaritan, was in the parking lot giving a guy a jump for his car’s dead battery. I wanted to do anything I could to help out in the situation so… I grabbed my camera and started taking pictures of her amazing puff!
Anything to help .
And we’re off!
Inside Delushious’ apartment she starts the task of twisting my hair. My instructions: “Do whatever you want”.
This is a great “in progress shot”. Seeing it I’m still kinda shocked at how long my twists are getting. That’s a good thing though!
She’s twisting with my homemade moisturizer and Jamaican Mango & Lime Lock and Twist Gel.
Yet another great “in progress shot” of Delushious on the phone with her sister (who is now rocking a cute TWA after The Texturizer Incident of 2003 ) while doing my hair. She twists really fast and although we were yapping the entire time I think she made good time.
It took 4 hours. I know I know, the picture is blurry…but look how thin I look! As I near age 28 I revel in all pictures that make me look like I’ve lost 10 lbs. Carry on.
What in the?!
You think you funny huh? Everyone’s a comedian ! I moved to the kitchen and with the help of the refrigerator and timer on my camera I got a better picture. Delushious is obviously getting me back for calling her “feasty”.
The stylist and her victim.
I then moved to the bathroom in hopes of really capturing how DARN CUTE this style is . Can you tell I love love love it?!!!
O.k. I have to leave, today is my 2nd Anniversary and my boyfriend is taking me to dinner. I don’t know what I’m wearing and I have an hour to get home, choose the deal, get dressed and look like a diva! Gotta run.
Thanks a million Delushious !!!!!
What can I say? ….a fashion show ensues!!!
He’s late coming to pick me up so what better diversion than picture taking!?
The fashion show continues in my photo studio a.k.a. my bathroom. I picked up the flower from K-Mart on my way home. It is tucked behind my ear and secured with a click-clack that is then hidden under twists.
O.k. now I’m just trying to be cute w/ the backdrop of my shower *sigh*. These twists are very nice and I really like them. I’ll wear them like this for a few days then start rinsing so they can shrink up. Due to their size I think I can get 2.5 weeks out of them (twistout included).
One more before I leave: a close up. The earrings were part of a Valentine’s Day gift from my boyfriend. I really like this look I put together in 10 minutes. Off to dinner!
We’re back and we had an absolutely marvelous evening. Marvelous!
We ate at Albert’s Provence and it was incredible. The food was sooooo good. If you’re ever in Tallahassee stop by*.
We went to see Hidalgo @ 11:30 p.m. and it was a very inspirational movie (I was inspired by how cute Viggo Mortensen is).
All night the twists kept dangling in my eye. My hair is on the grow ya’ll!
Thanks for stopping by!
