This first shot is how I arrived at the stylist. The day before my appointment I washed and detangle my hair, moisturized it and put it into 4 large braids. I pinned the braids down, put on a headwrap (although I would have walked out the house like this real talk), and this was the result.
The braid pattern was simple. The sides were braided first with the intention of being left out. The front was braided straight back for 2-3 inches so the crochet twists in the front would look more natural. The rest was braided to the end and sewn down as flat as possible.
Here are results after she attached the crochet twists! I forget how long it took, I’d say 4 hours maybe less.
And here I am the following day (and the day of the video above).
