Write a Personal Mission Statement
“Your personal mission statement should be a concise representation of what’s most important to you, what you desire to focus on, what you want to achieve, and, ultimately, who you want to become. “
Ok here goes:
I value God, marriage, family, friends, purpose, laughter, creativity, health, wisdom & expression. I also appreciate travel, education, fashion and dance.
As a Christian I plan to pray regularly, getting at minimum 15 minutes alone time to talk & listen to God each day. I also want to study more and will set aside time once a week to read God’s Word as well as continue to study individual scriptures daily. I will ask God to help me find the joy of service and use that re-found joy to serve Him and others.
As a wife I will practice patience, grace and mercy. I will let God do His work and keep my peace. That said, I hope one day to have a happy, HEALTHY, whole family complete with children. I will push myself more to be the “illuminating light” that my name, Roshini, means in the dark places in my family, because I full well know God put me in there to do just that when others couldn’t/wouldn’t. I will make and active effort to reach out to random family members who live far away on Saturday mornings. The same goes for friends on Saturday morning :). I will purpose to be a source of joy in my friend’s lives.
God will reveal my purpose for being here to me and I will ACT without fear when He does remembering that the devil tried to kill me and failed several times so GREATER is HE that is IN ME! YEAH! Where were we? I will laugh everyday. I will laugh loud, freely, without care of who is watching, disapproving or not understanding. When I finish my creative space I will set aside time once a week to create something. I will spend 6-month intervals (minimum) studying specific talents so I can become better at the MANY creative gifts I have been given. I will sell something I make and believe someone will buy it. My knees will get better and I will dance and wear high heels again. I will remain active and always be mindful of the severe sensitivity I have to the foods I put in my mouth. I will get an older married Christian woman as a mentor and sit at her feet. I will always educate myself, dress in what I want, wear the jewelry I want, paint my nails all the colors I want to paint them and be me (who God called me to be). I will dance in the rain, I will smile at the clouds, I will keep my peace.
Gosh that was INVIGORATING!!!
See you tomorrow!
