Everyone Can’t Go With You #FindYourLight

God has always spoken to me in dreams.

This morning, I woke up from a very vivid dream about a broken friend relationship with someone I considered a very close friend. There’s no closure in that area, so in the dream, I was having a very spirited discussion with this friend about something that we have not yet touched on in our actual real life.

When I woke up I got onto social media and one of the first things in my timeline was a sermon about Nehemiah, and how everyone’s not going to be able to go with you where you’re going.

Anything that’s not growing is dead and maybe the people that were with you were connected to a dead thing and for you to grow, those people may not be able to go where you’re going.

Both of those things really made me think that God was trying to give me a God,-wink. Everyone is not going to be able to go with you to where you are going.

And that’s okay.

In the realm of my relationships, God has been doing a lot of pruning, readjusting, and tweaking. He’s just been shifting a lot of things around. I have been through so many things in the last few years that have really transformed my mind. And because my mind is being transformed, the things around me are starting to change. What I’m learning is, the more I become my authentic self, a lot of things and people can’t remain connected to the authentic me. It wasn’t even on purpose, I just did not know better. When you know better you do better. I had to mature and grow in that space not everyone is able or willing to stay with me on this journey.

And that’s okay.

God is telling me, and he’s telling me to tell you, that it’s okay for you to go where you’re going and leave some people where they are going. We are all growing. They don’t mean me any harm, I don’t mean them any harm. It’s just when God designed you for a thing, you need to go in that direction otherwise people are connecting with an inauthentic you. And that’s not fair to you. And that’s not fair to them. Anything that’s not growing is dead. And maybe the people that were with you were connected to a dead thing.

We can walk hand in hand for a season. And then we can let go of our hands and let each other go in the direction that God designed us because we’re all in different places. We’re all in on different parts of our journey when it comes to maturing. You can’t grow, letting people attach themselves to things that God’s trying to kill in you.

You can’t grow, letting people attach themselves to things that God’s trying to kill in you.

Where you are going thet may not be able to come with you.

This is good. I have been wrestling with this recently because it feels like I have been carrying this dead weight issue around for over 20 years. This was timely. Thank you!
