in my opinion, is only an issue if you allow it to be. I have been natural in the workplace for 7 years now. In that time I have been with 4 companies and my choice of loose natural 4b hair and now locs (2 years this past June) has never been challenged or kept me from being taken seriously or advancing. I often get compliments and I am happy to educate anyone who doesn’t understand what being natural is all about.

I agree with “Q”. I always got compliments natural and still am getting them with my 5-month old Sisterlocks. I had to educate more when I was in Cali than I do now that I am in Indy, but am more than happy to do so. I love being natural and feel much better about myself. And locking my hair was the best decision I’ve ever made outside of having my daughter. Amen…LOL
