Embracing Life One Day at a Time β’ a black woman healing π€β¨
In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed.
The constant barrage of information and the pressure to keep up make life seem like a never-ending race. It’s as if challenges, responsibilities, and expectations are constantly bombarding us.
I’ve found myself caught in the whirlwind of anxiety, constantly feeling like I should be doing something, even when I’m supposed to be taking a break. It’s a feeling many of us can relate to in this digital age.
Here’s what’s been helping me find some much-needed calm in the chaos: doing one thing at a time and taking life one day at a time.
It’s a notion that has made a significant difference in my outlook on life over the past few weeks and months.
The truth is, it’s okay to slow down and focus on the present moment. Also, we’re learning that multitasking is a myth and you can only do one thing well at a time.
When you start to feel overwhelmed or anxious, remember that you’re not alone in experiencing those emotions. We all have moments when life feels like an unstoppable avalanche.
So, here’s my encouragement: take a deep breath, stay calm, and remind yourself to tackle one thing at a time.
Don’t let the weight of all your tasks and worries consume you. Instead, concentrate on doing the next thing and then the next.
You can regain control and find peace by breaking life down into manageable choices. Remember that it’s important to prioritize self-care and mental well-being.
Let’s embrace life one day at a time, practice calmness, and remember that we’re all in this together.
The race is not given to the swift.

Hi, Glamazini!
I enjoy your site and send best wishes on the birth of your little one.
I have a question-In previous posts you said you had a therapist–Did you find any of his/her advice/treatment etc to clash with your Christian beliefs, or with your chuch’s beliefs about mental health? For example, some christians feel only pastors/elders, are to counsel christians, not ‘worldly’ health professionsals. What’s your take?
glamazini
I went to a Christian counselor so no, it did not clash.
