Isn’t it the best! I LOVE this book too. Rebecca is an amazing story teller. I learned about HeLa cells a long time ago as a college freshman in my biology classroom. My professor piqued my curiosity. Henrietta Lacks IS the most important person in life and health science to date. No doubt. And I love the book for the very reasons you mention. It is a perfect book to sit down and have a long overdue conversation (among Black people) about science and ethics.
