Xtreme Lashes Lash Extensions
image: stlmakeup.com ~ Before and after!

This past October I got complimentary Xtreme Lashes Eyelash Extensions from Autumn of StLMakeup.com.  I absolutely loved them and have gone back every 3-4 weeks since then for refills.

Well, alas, the end is now here *tear*.

I have decided to let my lash extensions grow out for several reasons.  My last refill was in 2011 before I left for my trip home to the Virgin Islands. I wasn’t able to book another appointment until I returned, 5 weeks later!  That is a really long time between refills, so I opted to test out the Xtreme Protective Coating during my stay in the V.I. To my shock the product actually worked wonders and my lashes held up so well during my trip.  Once I returned I was happy to go get them redone, but then my car had to go in the shop the morning of my appointment #womp.  I never rescheduled, and now with the baby coupled with and finding out 2 days ago that my contract is not being renewed AND ending early (as in no job come March) I’ve decided to just let the lashes grow out.

*insert sad face*

On the bright side, I did get to wear the lash extensions for 3 months, I won’t miss the baths or being uber careful when I’m drying my face. I’ll also be able to go back to testing out the oil cleansing method that I’d started months ago but stopped because you’re not suppose to expose the lashes to oils.

There are pluses.

Either way, it was a good run while it lasted. If funds allowed I might do them again.

If you have any questions about the product or my experience feel free to ask me in the comments below.

Until next time Glam Fam I wish you

KAPOW!

Rock Star Look

Who sees the bumpity bump bump? *big ole grin*

Let me break down the look for you.  First you need a hot fitted jacket, preferably with collar “pre-popped” LOL! The black one I’m rocking is lightweight and great for layering. The cut is so fly and flattering AND the ruffles along the neckline and button details on the cuffs give it a special flair.

Now under that there jacket PADOW!

Rock Star Look

Getchu a hot, scandalously short (ha!) dress with metal detailing. I wear this one all the time. It has riveting at the scoop neckline and along the hemline with a funky ethnic-inspired felt pattern that perfectly mixes hard and soft.

What’s next you ask? How about clashing patterned tights, patent leather granny boots, mismatched jewelry and stacked necklaces?

BOOM!

Rock Star Look

In my ears I have one wing earring and one black and silver dangler. Around my neck I have 2 textual necklaces … one with my twitter name and the other with the oversized word ‘Supreme’. What’s not to love?

To top the entire thing off you cannot forget your finishing touches:

Rock Star Look

I went for BIG hair (a twistout pinned up in the back and on the side), black eyeliner on the bottom lid smudged with a pencil brush, purple gloss on the lips and of course, a little smirk and attitude in the eyes *tee hee*.

Do not forget to enter for your own chance to win!

Until next time Glam Fam Rock On!

I taped this video before I left on my trip, but am just getting to post it. .

Seems that I was rocking my twisted scarf look in a totally different video and several of my YouTube viewers asked how I tied it.  I literally wore my scarf like this today. Love it! Here’s a quick video answering that question.

As an aside, I love to get scarves from discount stores like Marshalls and TJ Maxx. Check them out for fashionable affordable scarves and get to twisting!

Christmas has come early at my house.

Recently I spent some time shopping at a department store (which I never do) because I got me a gift certificate and wanted to check it out.  I hadn’t been inside a Sears store in years, so I went online to see what they had available and decided to visit the location in Chesterfield, MO because they had several items in stock that peaked my interest.

By the way, did you know that the Chesterfield MO location of Sears has a huge Lands End section?  I didn’t know either.

Anyhoo … a quick search of the racks and I realized rather quickly that the Kardashian Kollection was where my heart was.  Who knew?  I must confess, I only know one of the Kardashian sisters by looking (and the brother because I love Dancing with the Stars), but know them or not … them gals really can put together a collection of fabulous clothes THAT FIT ME! *faint*

Here’s what I got:

Kardashian Kollection Peak Shoulder Blazer (found HERE) in a size large fit me like a glove!

keep on reading don’t stop …

Hard to Find Sizes

It’s hard out here for a tall girl with big feet. I stand 6’1″ and wear a size 12-13 shoe. I’ve been this size since about age 12 (yes, age 12), and it’s time to share the wealth on some places to find clothing that actually fits. I’ve started lists before, but I believe I’ll [...]

The actual hangers from my 1st clothes purge. While catching up on one of my favorite blogs, I came across this article: What Would Your Life Be Like With Less Stuff? (A Lifestyle Experiment), and it has entirely peaked my interest.   The premise is that happiness is increased by experience and not by material things. [...]

Using Vitamin E Oil to Fade Hyperpigmentation

At the risk of sounding like a commercial … do you suffer from hyperpigmentation (dark spots & discoloration) like I do? I’ve dealt with this all my life, however it seems like in recent years I’m getting it more (due to age), noticing it more or just lighter because I living in Missouri and not [...]

Chellur lovely people As you may or may not know, I have large feet and need to buy even larger shoes to fit my orthodic comfortably.
