A Black Woman Healing ๐ŸคŽ๐Ÿ Glamazini

To loc, or not to loc, that is the question?

I said I’d never wear dreadlocs, locs, locks, dreads whatever you want to call them…

well, I don’t know if I actually ‘said’ it but it sure was my own unsaid reality.

Then one day while at home in the Virgin Islands I just calmly felt like I would eventually loc my hair. It wasn’t a grand epiphany at all, more like a minor blip. I was sitting with my father taking in my beloved Virgin Islands and I realized that locing my hair would be more than just another hairstyle. Out of nowhere the sentence “Every loc will tell your story” went through my head.

That was the blip. —> *blip*

So when I am ready to tell my story I will loc my hair, no sooner, no later.
