It's been a month with this puff and my hair is dry and tangled. Lazy ini.
It's like my hair is 1 solid mass……humbug
That's it! I'm putting my foot down and my brush up (yes I know that was corny )
Anyhoo, I've decided that I need more hair on my head for my wedding. Now before you start throwing stuff at me listen …I want to wear my hair in small twists pulled back into a low bun. Right now I feel that I need more hair for longer twists so I can have a bigger bun. Right now my bun is small and some of the twist ends are sticking out. If I buckle down and commit to protective styles (braids and twists) I will have the bun I desire on my wedding day.
So with that said, this year may be boring but here goes…
Alright here we go now.
My hair was so hard to part 'cause it was a tangled mess…but I split it with my fingers and kept moving.
Wanted to show you the patch of gray in the middle of my head.
I put my hair in several sections (6-8 if I remember correctly) and I slathered each with conditioner, honey and Aubrey GPB. I then covered my hair with a grocery bag and wrapped that with a towel (pictured).
Here I am about 2.5 hours later about to wash my hair…
…here I am after I washed. I detangled in the shower with my Denman D3 brush then washed with castile soap.
Alright, here we go with some twists. Wanna see shrinkage? Here's the hair short and …
… here's the twist from that same section .
1 section done and I've been holding it together with bands like so. Next side.
Next side done. I'm making good time.
Starting the back.
Same twist, I just let it go.
1 row done
You gotta love shrinkage.
Fast forward and the back is done.
I braided the base of the braids in the front but not the base of the ones in the back. This made them more puffy but it's all good. This took me a little over 2 hours.
