While watching The Doctors television last week I found out about a great website that I *HAD* to share with my readers. As many of you now know, my son was born with spina bifida 8 months ago*. At this point we are unsure as to what his specific needs will be, but I have often wondered how people go through unexpected medical events like this without insurance. To put it point blank, even with the insurance, treatments and therapies are EXPENSIVE. That’s where MedGift.com comes in.
Cancer survivor and reality television star Diem Brown founded the website after dealing with her own expensive medical bills and the specific needs of her treatment and recovery.
She created this gift registry to give family and friends who offered their help a way to do so in an easy and organized way. MedGift also provides community support for patients in addition to the online listing of the patient’s specific Needs, Wants and Wishes during treatment and recovery, similar to any other gift registry.
I am so impressed with this idea and plan to create an account for my son and update as time progresses. If you know anyone who may benefit from this website please pass it on.
