Regroup • A Review of March

March 2012 = “Regroup”

Once again I’ve been inspired by a post on HappyBlackWoman.com.  If you haven’t visited that blog what are you waiting on? It’s  a favorite of mine!

Moving right along …

… this time Rosetta shared a “word that captures the essence how [she] spent the month of February” in an effort to be “more intentional about reflecting on [her] life and work”.  I absolutely love the idea, especially at this pivotal point in my life, so I’ve decided to do the same here on my blog.

The word that best captures the month of March 2012 for me would be: REGROUP.

re·group

[ree-groop]
verb
to become reorganized in order to make a fresh start: If the plan doesn’t work, we’ll have to regroup and try something else.

I chose that word because February 2012 brought with it a huge amount of flux for me (some I’ve shared, some I have not). Most evident would be that my corporate contracting position ended.   With that comes the work of redefining what my day/life/purpose looks like. I’m so thankful to even be able to have this opportunity and pray I use it to the fullest.   That said, I do feel like March of 2012 was used mostly to re-acclaimate myself to what in the world has been going on while I was at work, before I do any true “searching and re-positioning” in that area.

So what have I done?

I can honestly say that I feel great coming out of March, like I have firmer more steady footing to stand on as I begin to contemplate my next steps and even vet other industries I may want to move into.  I’m nervous and excited about the prospects and road ahead, but I view it as a book being written with blank pages I get to fill & that alone is a true gift.

What I’m hoping to experience in April 2012 is CONVERGENCE, in the sense that disparate efforts start to narrow themselves to even a foggy aim.  Stay tuned and we’ll see what happens.

What word describes your March 2012? What do you want describe your April 2012?

Oh and I loved that Rosetta ended her post with a recap of the previous month’s posts. I’ll do the same with the 28 posts I cranked out last month  in case you missed any. Enjoy, comment and share!

Until next time Glam Fam I wish you
