Black Women Healing,  Heal Your Mind

Second Guessing Myself • Free Therapy

Recently I woke up with yet another idea for something I could do for my Glamazini brand. That happens to me often.  It seems like my thoughts have time to reassemble themselves while I sleep and come together crystal clear first thing in the morning.  Just as common is my ability to dismantle most ideas as the day progresses and, unfortunately, I typically don’t do the majority of them.

Earlier in the year I made a video called Decide & Do which is my motto for the year 2014. The 2nd guessing thing is getting to me. Why do we second guess ourselves anyway? See my thoughts in the video above.

That is almost like the process I go through. I can analyze my idea so much that I already failed in my head. Sometimes I think that you will never appreciate the joy of success until you taste and learn from failure.

If we’re being honest I think I fear success because I don’t believe I can sustain it for many reasons, hence the self-sabotage via second guessing. And I didn’t even need Dr. Phil for that LOL

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people will not feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone and as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others”. – Marianne Williamson
