I‘m so behind on my emails I almost missed this opportunity! So glad I didn’t! I received the following email from the March of Dimes NICU Family Support Specialist at the hospital that saved my son’s life:
The NICU is excited to participate again this year in the 2015 March for Babies event for the March of Dimes. The event is taking place Saturday, April 25th at 9:00am at 5620 Grand Blvd, St. Louis MO 63112 at Forest Park.
As a group, we get together to raise money for the March of Dimes. Funds raised support research into the causes and prevention of prematurity and birth defects. Money raised also supports the NICU Family Support Program at Children’s Hospital which helps parents going through a difficult NICU stay. We would love to have you and your families participate with us this year. Here’s how….
- Join our team! You can go to www.marchforbabies.org/lgoser and click the button under the picture that says “Walk with Me”. This will link you directly to our team and will help get you started on fundraising online. As a part of the team, you’ll receive emails on things like t-shirts, meeting locations, and walk day details. This is a great opportunity to come out and visit with doctors and nurses from the NICU, many of whom walk with us that day. Think of this event as a mini-reunion with friends, family, and staff of the NICU.
- Out of town or can’t walk with us that day? You can still join the team the same way and be a “virtual walker”. This allows you to connect with the team and make sure that all funds raised go directly to the Missouri March of Dimes chapter and support our local programs.
- If you’re not able to fundraise yourself, feel free to share the above link with friends and family who can donate directly to our March for Babies team.
Thank you all so much for your support and I look forward to seeing many of you on walk day!
I’ve decided to donate myself (just did) and promote (#3). My son spent 5 weeks in that NICU and they care he received was lifesaving. Thank you for anything you can give. Let’s help them FAR SURPASS their goal!
