Take The Leap!

Happy February 29th!

Today is the last day of my part time corporate job.

I feel it’s apropo that it’s also February 29th, the “leap day” so to speak. I’m taking a figurative leap into the unknown, and I’m at peace.

Read this post then this post for more background on what’s going on if you missed it.  Basically I’ll be gearing up for baby while contemplating my next steps and even vetting other industries in the next few months.

What have you done lately that’s a total leap of faith? If you won’t leap, why not? Share in the comments below!

Happy Leap Day!

Until next time Glam Fam I wish you

Hubby and I started a business. I’ve talked about being my own boss for years but never really had the courage to do it. Then one day my hubby decided he wanted to open his previous business back up and have me run it because he has a full time job. I wasn’t sure I could do it but I asked God if this was the right thing for me to do to show me the way and he has opened so many doors. I’m so glad my hubby had the faith in me to be able to do this. I’m doing it and it feels great.

Fear is the only thing stopping me from taking the leap of faith. But let me say that God has a funny sense of humor. I’ve known for a while that I needed to leave my job but never made any real effort because I was comfy with that guaranteed bi-weekly check. I’m now forced to take that leap this summer as my graduate program requires a two year full-time internship! I will say that I’m faith-testing and believing God to be my provider during this time!

I took the leap to move to St. Thomas, VI on VERY limited funds. I didn’t have a job set up or knew anyone down here. By God’s grace alone I have been able to get a job, find a permanent apartment, and even make a few friends. All this in barely a month and a half. God is so good to me it is not even funny. I’m even getting teary eyed writing this because only He can make an absolute impossible situation into a blessed reality. His mercy, His grace, His favor, His blessings knows no bounds. He is truly a sovereign God.

*clears throat* Sorry, I got a little carried away but I had to give Him some praise! πŸ™‚

Based on what you were saying a few videos (or blog posts) back: about not wanting a baby until a few years ago and then WHAM BLAM KABLAM -> BABY! I feel like the same thing can happen with your job situation. You may not have a job now, but I really believe in a few months you will be back on here telling us that you’re making a living off of doing something that makes you happy.

Thanks Racquel. Did I know you moved to STT w/o knowing anyone? What made you do that? Shoo, I know everyone and I need to move my butt down there with you *ini jealous*. Drink a VitaMalt for me πŸ™
