Yes yes, I know I haven't been posting a whole lot lately . I'm not even gonna lie to you, it's a straight up combination of life + laziness .
BUT I do want to share a little shoe info though (actually I should do this more often since I am getting a lot of good knowledge about all things arch support/tendonitis). Here goes:
I grabbed these shoes on sale in size 43 from Zappos.com a couple weeks ago:
They usually sell for $225 but I got them for $140 and was super excited! I've been wanting to try this brand of shoe for a while now (pre-injury) and thought there was no time like the present! Besides I am really looking for something I can wear with dressy clothing that isn't a clog HELP JESUS!!
At anyrate, I got the shoe and have had it at home for 2 weeks now trying it on every few days to see what I think. Hubby doesn't care for it but I think it's neutral enough and a goodish choice … but honestly I'm not that impressed and there isn't much arch support so I'm 99% sure I'm gonna return it . However, If you are looking for a cute comfortable low-heeled shoe I would recommend it though.
As an aside, I'm certain Zappos is sick of me ordering and returning shoes lately but I just can't help it with these leg injuries. If I order it and I am in pain it has to go back
At anyrate, I grabbed another pair of Think! brand shoes a couple days ago from Zappos once again on sale for $100.67 (usually $160 ):
once again in a size 43.
If you're wondering why I'm getting another pair of shoes from the company when I plan on returning the 1st pair I got fear not, there's a method to the madness! As you can see the 2nd pair has an entirely different footbed w/ more arch support (I hope) so I figure when I found it on sale there was once again no time like the present to try out this brand's foot bed in the largest feminine size they make. If (and that's a big old IF) this size fits me well I am opened up to a huge selection from Think! of fancy styles just like the one above! .
However if my size 44 Birkenstocks (as well as the Size 12 Merrell snipe & sell debacle of 2010) are any indication let's not get our hopes up .
I will report back shortly.
