Thanks to Smoothie King and Nutrition53 for providing the Lean1™ Vanilla protein powder and compensation for this post! As usual, the opinions expressed are my own and as usual, the smoothie below is de.lic.ious. #thankmelater #smoothielife 💛
I have 3 words for you:
Blogger. Blend. Off.
*scratches head* Unless you hyphenate “Blend-Off” then technically it’s 2 words … but that’s not what this post is about. #focus
As you guys know I love smoothies so when I was invited by Smoothie King and Nutrition53 to take part in said Blogger Blend-Off (hyphenated for added flavor*), I gladly accepted because smoothies. *drops mic*
*picks mic back up because post isn’t finished*
Here’s the deal y’all … Lean1™ Vanilla protein is now available in sample or full size at your favorite Smoothie King location, along with Lean1™ Chocolate and Lean1™ Strawberry!
What’s Lean1™ protein you ask?
It’s a fat burning protein powder made with green coffee bean extract, fiber, carbohydrates, 27 vitamins & minerals. Depending on how much you use it can be a snack, low-calorie dessert, or meal replacement. The fiber, enzymes, amino acids and herb extracts promote healthy digestion and curb hunger cravings by making you feel full and satisfied while suppressing your appetite. The green coffee bean extract gives you energy and helps with weight loss, and the proprietary lactose-free protein optimizes lean muscle and is perfect before and after workouts.
Smoothie King offers four Lean1™ smoothies if you’re on the go: Lean1™ Chocolate, Lean1™ Strawberry, Lean1™ Vanilla and their newest the Lean1™ Tropical Smoothie, a mix of ice, water, Lean1™ vanilla protein , pineapples and mango juice blend designed to help you “slim down and slip away”. Being from the Virgin Islands I can attest, mango and pineapple in a smoothie is the real deal. #nommers

Now to this challenge.
I decide to go for something simple, versatile and delicious. Let’s do it …
Lean1™ Vanilla Chai Smoothie
First the ingredients.
Pictured above: Lean1™ Vanilla protein powder, almond milk, chai latte concentrate, ground ginger, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, vanilla extract, chai latte and milk “ice” cubes (optional)
If you want a slushy consistency I’d opt for the ice cubes in the blender, but liquids in the blender or a shaker bottle work perfectly fine too. I provided both measurements below. Thank me later.
First, add milk. I used unsweetened vanilla almond milk but cashew milk works well too. I suggest vanilla flavored to bump up the yum factor.
Next, add the chai tea concentrate. The instructions for this brand called for equal parts concentrate and milk but the flavor was less “chai-y” than I wanted so I added more spices at the end. You can also brew a very strong chai tea, let it cool and use that.
Next, add the Lean1™ Vanilla protein powder.
Finally up the flavor with vanilla extract, nutmeg, cinnamon and ginger!
The result is this quick yet decadent spiced frothy goodness!
You’ll feel like you’re cheating on your health goals but you’re not! My husband says it tastes “like dessert” and my sister-in-law tasted it and literally broke out into a dance. Thank me later**.
- 1-1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk (or 13 "ice" cubes of almond milk)
- 1 cup chai tea concentrate (or 10 "ice" cubes of chai tea concentrate)
- 1 scoop Lean1™ Vanilla protein
- 3 drops vanilla extract
- 1/8 teaspoon ginger
- 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
- Add all ingredients (liquid -OR- "ice" cubes)
- Blend (or shake if not using "ice" cubes)
- Garnish with a dash of cinnamon
- Serve immediately or store in freezer for a few minutes until you can drink
- Pre Prep Time: Make "ice" cubes from tea the day prior
Alrighty, hope you guys enjoyed this recipe! If you try it come back and let me know what you think.
💛 Also, don’t forget to vote for my recipe in Smoothie King’s Blogger Blend-Off. Thank you so much!💛
*No such thing. You can’t add flavor with a hyphen, you know that … or can you? 😐 #deepthoughts #focus
**or now, you can totally thank me right now. *wink*
